EXT. FORBIDDEN FOREST - NIGHT

Follow a feather as it glides along the forest floor. Suddenly, a large, brown, worn-in boot steps down on it as a thud is heard reverberating through the trees. The boot lifts slowly from the dirt as a purple, scaled hand reaches down to retrieve the feather - a glowing yellow band, sits on the ring finger.

Continue to follow the feather as the hand pulls it up the long, brown, trench-coated body - with tears on its shoulder-pads and forearms; deep pockets at the waist and a purple, scaled body underneath.

The feather reaches the face of the body - a scaly, purple dragon-humanoid. Two large nostrils protrude like a pig's snout from the face as the character takes two large sniffs of the feather. A knife is run along its spine as the dragon-man meticulously investigates the feather.

He places the feather in one of his coat's pockets and removes the greataxe from his back. They crouch down and pivot on the spot slowly - as if he is preparing for attack.

The bushes shake as a large, golden Griffin bursts out from the hedgerow and attacks our hero. He slides to the side, losing his bag as he does. Out of the bag falls numerous peculiar items: a glass eye, dragon's tooth, scroll and parchment. He quickly dashes forward to collect his belongings with the Griffin turning back and striking again.

The hero holds up his greataxe as the Griffin swipes it with it's left talon. With a swipe from the Griffin, the hero retaliates and digs the axe deep into the Griffin's core.

As the bird slumps to the floor, the dragon-man opens his pocket and removes a gold piece from a brown pouch. He flips it up into the air and lets it fall onto the bird's carcass. With a flick of his coat, the figure turns and melts into the shadows of the wood once more.
